The brief for this project was to design a pair of slides that took inspiration from the streetwear craze but design them in a way that would resonate and appeal with Industrie Clothing's regular demographic of buyers.
Industrie's demographic stereotypically wouldn't go for a 'streetwear' trend which made this task rather challenging. The design I landed on was an elegant debossed logo on the upper leather band on a black base, resulting in a pair of shoes that would complement the rest of the outfit, rather than compete with the look.
We realised with the design of the slides aside, almost just as important was how we marketed them online and in-store.
